Project Manager

This full-time position is responsible and accountable for the successful execution of assigned projects. Main duties include strategizing, developing, and executing project plans within budget, schedule and quality requirements, ensuring adherence to the design intent and project requirements and bringing proactive and innovative solutions to the challenges that naturally arise during custom fabrication.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead and manage all aspects of projects by proactively directing, managing, and owning successful outcomes for financial, time, resource, and quality performance. At times, participate on or lead a project team comprised of Senior PM, PM and Assistant PM.

2. Develop strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interaction.

3. Collaborate with internal staff to ensure understanding of all project details, expectations, and critical path deliverables.

  • Lead the development and manage the execution plan for pre-production, procurement, production, logistics, installation, and project closeout.

  • Facilitate technical drawing approval from client/designer, maintain tight control of in/out of scope and related quality requirements.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records including project components status throughout the life of the project.

  • Review project scope, budget and schedule for compliance within the parameters of the design intent and estimated costs and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain budget projections, including +/- risk assessment for cost, schedule, resource and quality. Mitigate risk by identifying value engineering opportunities/strategies that maximize profitability while delivering quality requirements.

  • Oversee installation and closeout procedures including being physically on project sites intermittently or for the duration of the installation phase.

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED

  • Requires a College Degree and/or 5+ years of relevant project management experience in the industry.

  • Trade show industry or museum experience a must.

  • Requires proficient computer skills, specifically the utilization of Microsoft Office programs.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other project management software.

  • Ability to work with clients, production crew, designers, and account executives.

  • Requires highly developed and proven customer service and organizational skills.

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.

  • Self-starter, solid organizational skills, strong leadership abilities.
